The City Hospital, Birmingham, is unique in having such well developed toxicological facilities:

the Birmingham Centre of the National Poisons Information Service,

the West Midlands Poisons Unit, a tertiary level treatment unit and;

the Regional Laboratory for Toxicology, one of two dedicated toxicological laboratories in the UK National Health Service

With the continuing development of both the NPIS and the West Midlands Poisons Unit, both Units are keen to recruit committed and suitably qualified staff to work at the NPIS (Birmingham Centre) and Poisons Unit.  The Units currently employ physicians, nurses and scientists.

Interested individuals are invited to contact recruitment@npis.org for further details of currently available posts.  Examples of recent job descriptions for D, E and F grade nurses and for scientific staff can also be viewed as pdf files.
