Lead exposure in pregnancy
By analyzing the data it holds on the outcome of pregnancy following exposure to lead, the UK Teratology Information Service (UKTIS) has been able to add to the evidence available on the impact on the developing foetus.
To date its findings, in line with other published data, do not demonstrate an increased risk of major malformations, although other adverse health effects are recognised. Work in this area continues.
